Falcons vs. Texans: NFL Week 5 Picks & Game Predictions

When the Falcons travel to Houston to take on the Texans (1:00 P.M ET, FOX) they will be expecting to eventually find a bit of consistency. The Falcons are somehow 26th in the league in points per match, despite having a whole lot of gifted offensive players. They can not seem to get the game going and Matt Ryan hasn’t been able to throw. Last week at home against the Titans, Ryan hit another 4 was sacked 4 times and hurried 12 times. The Falcons will need to do a much better job protecting him.
In terms of the Texans, protecting Deshaun Watson is something they’ve never really managed to do because he’s come into the NFL. He requires a great deal of abuse while he’s a player. Against Carolina, he hurried 13 times and then had been sacked 5 times. The Texans failed to run the ball well but Watson just threw for 160 yards and no death touchdowns.
Watson also must quit holding the ball for such a long time. He understands his offensive line isn’t very good however he tends to carry on to the ball for longer than he must. Does that result in sacks, but he’s also leaving himself vulnerable to unnecessary punishment. That’s something that he wants to address until another long term injury is suffered by him, as his match matures.
This line started at Texans. There hasn’t been much movement using 58 percent of the cash on Houston. Both teams have been up and down that it is hard to understand what’s going to occur in this one. The total could be the play here as both groups do not actually have a way to stop every other and can put up things. On the flip side, both groups scored 10 points. Right now, you don’t know what you’re getting to a weekly basis with these two. Placing 5 points seems like a lot. The Falcons have the firepower to keep this game close.
Beneath 49 (-105) in 5Dimes
Both of these teams have been underperforming which will probably be the situation. Things have not been clicking for offense while they have the firepower to put up points. I see both teams return to fundamentals here in a close one the Texans probably win at home. For each these reasons, my pick for this is the Beneath 49.
