16 Oct World Grand Prix Darts Day Three Tips
Last night was a different night of darts. The win in a thriller over Cost of chisnall was the best game of the day. Nathan Aspinall continued to impress and he is the dark horse . Gurney was massively disappointing and I am shocked at the manner in which he lost. This day the round kicks off and I have two picks.
It landed on the very first night and I am surprised this evening bookies are offering odds against on Michael Smith many 180s. He took some time to get going against Simon Whitlock however if he did he was at his top. Whitlock should have won that match but he didnt shut it out and Smith will feel great he won when he was not at his best until the end of the match. Joe Cullen shouldnt have won and let off ian White the hook. He just struck one 180 in contrast to Michael Smiths four. If smith starts this day that is faster I cant see White matching him.
My tip of this evening comes from the conflict between Jeffrey Zwaan and Michael Van Gerwen. MVG endured a scare to undergo the first round. He missed opportunities however and doesnt look at his finest. De Zwaan breezed with ease past Steve Beaton which will give him lots of confidence. So that there must be more to come from him 19, he plays. He is strong about the doubles and a very great scorer. Most of us remember that when he beat Michael in the Matchplay last year and although there might not be an upset like that , I believe Jeffrey p Zwaan +1.5 places at 6/4 is strong.
